. It was part of this whole series of books about a town the Devil used to frequent called Coven Tree. The books were by a guy named Bill Brittain, and one of my gifted teachers recommended them to me. They were these weird books, full of Southern gothic-style twists and creepy dealings. I should reread them, but I think they might be out of print.
